NEET SS 2025 Round 2: MCC Opens 2,423 Super Speciality Seats

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially commenced Round 2 of NEET Super Speciality (SS) Counselling 2025, offering a total of 2,423 seats across DM (Doctorate of Medicine), MCh (Magister Chirurgiae), and DNB (Diplomate of National Board) super speciality programmes. Candidates who appeared in NEET SS 2025 and are seeking admission to premier medical institutions — including those attached to Institutes of National Importance — can now participate in the second round of the centralised seat allotment process.

What Is NEET SS Counselling Round 2?

NEET SS Counselling is conducted by MCC for admission to super speciality medical courses at central universities, deemed universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and other centrally funded medical institutes. Round 2 is held to fill seats that remained vacant or were surrendered after Round 1 allotments. Candidates who were allotted seats in Round 1 but chose to withdraw, as well as fresh eligible candidates, are allowed to register and submit their choices in this round.

The 2,423 seats on offer in Round 2 span three categories of super speciality qualifications:

• DM (Doctorate of Medicine): Medical super speciality disciplines such as Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, and others.
• MCh (Magister Chirurgiae): Surgical super specialities including Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Urology, Plastic Surgery, and related fields.
• DNB Super Speciality: Seats at accredited DNB hospitals recognised by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

• DNB-accredited hospitals under the National Board of Examinations

How to Register for NEET SS Counselling Round 2

Eligible candidates must complete the following steps on the official MCC counselling portal:

• Visit the official MCC website and navigate to the NEET SS 2025 counselling section.
• Register or log in using NEET SS 2025 roll number and credentials.
• Pay the required registration and security deposit fee online.
• Fill in and lock institute and course preferences before the deadline.
• Check the seat allotment result once declared and report to the allotted institute within the stipulated time.
